Patient & Family Resources
What is hospice care?
Hospice care focuses on providing comfort and dignity rather than curative treatment for people with terminal illnesses. It addresses physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of both patients and families.
How do I know when it's time for hospice?
Hospice may be appropriate when a doctor determines life expectancy is six months or less if the illness runs its normal course, and when curative treatments are no longer desired or effective.
Is hospice covered by insurance?
Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurance plans cover hospice services. Our team can help determine your coverage and explain any potential costs.
